Mesalges characurus.— Radford 1953: 205, 1958: 137. Hexacaudalges characurus.—Mironov 2007: 136. Megninia casuaricola Proctor 2001: 336 (synonymy by Mironov 2007: 136). Hexacaudalges casuaricolus.— Mironov & Proctor 2005: 3298. Host and locality in Australia: Cassowary (Casuarius casuarius), Kuranda, Queensland (Proctor 2001). Current name of host: Southern Cassowary, Casuarius casuarius (Linnaeus, 1758) (Struthioniformes: Casuariidae).
