Dysthymus Attems, 1929: 276 (partim). Synonymised by Hoffman (1968: 212). Lundacus Chamberlin, 1951: 69. Synonymised under Dysthymus by Hoffman (1953: 82). Type species: Paradesmus thysanopus Cook & Collins, 1893, by monotypy. Diagnosis: Cones on sternite 5 fused together. Legs 4–6 of male with third joint enlarged below into a distinct tuberculiform process (Fig. 5). Gonopod tibiotarsus and solenomere coiled and bent ventrally (Fig. 2). Remarks: The non-Namibian species referred to this genus, namely C. calundensis Kraus, 1958, C. brunneus (Attems, 1929) and C. thysanopus (Cook & Collins, 1893), were described from Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
