Abstract

The first open call for the first NFDI4Earth Academy cohort was published on the 07^th^ July 2022 as a news entry on the NFDI4Earth website: https://www.nfdi4earth.de/home/news?view=article&id=271:1st-call-for-academy-fellows&catid=12 In addition, the call was disseminated multiple times through various channels (mailing lists, social media and events) of the NFDI4Earth, Geo.X Research Network, Geoverbund ABC/J, Deutsche Allianz Meeresforschung, and further scientific networks channels, such as scientific associations (e.g., DGG, (Junge) DGGV, DVGeo, Helmholtz Association).

This work has been funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) through the project NFDI4Earth (DFG project no.460036893, https://www.nfdi4earth.de/) within the German National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI, https://www.nfdi.de/).
