Abstract

FIGURES 5–10. Bionomical observations on eumenine wasps. 5, female of Leptochilus callidus (Kostylev, 1940) stinging a curculionid beetle larva on Tamarix hispida Willd.; 6, prey of Pseudepipona sellata (Morawitz, 1885) (scale bar = 1 cm); 7, 8, female of Brachyodynerus zhelochovtzevi (Kostylev, 1929) (7) and male of Eumenes coarctatus lunulatus Fabricius, 1804 (8) feeding on flowers of T. hispida; 9, sleeping aggregation of a female of Eumenes jarkandensis Blüthgen, 1938 (on the right) and two males of E. mediterraneus Kriechbaumer, 1879; 10, SEM micrograph of a pupa of a male Pseudoxenos sp. between fourth and fifth terga of a male of Jucancistrocerus tachkensis (Dalla Torre, 1889).
