In the exam, hyperuricemic rats made with P.O will be given dandelion root extracts to see how they affect uric acid (UA). The animal study was designed, and at random divided into five (n= 6) groups. In groups 2, 3, 4, and 5 received intraperitoneal injections (i.p) of P.O every two days. Groups 1 and 2 were designed as control groups not including treatment. Group 3 orally administered 50 mg/kg in 0.5ml of distal water (DW) daily of DA. Group 4 was orally administered 100 mg/kg/0.5 ml of DW daily of dandelion powder. Group 5 was cured orally with allopurinol daily as a standard group. After 12 days, the rats were sacrificed, and their sera were collected for the biochemical investigation of uric acid in the serum (SUA), urine uric acid (UUA), and other liver and renal biochemical parameters. Results: The study showed that hyperuricemic rats given dandelion solution had a significant decrease in blood UA and a significant increase in UUA. They also influenced xanthine oxide (XOD) and no significant differences in liver and kidney functions.
