Literature resources about one of the most important fundamental and clinical problems of the medicine especially surgery, the nature of the systematic damage or the local damage leading to total damage of the organism, have been comprehensively analyzed in the review. The information on the direct damager (intoxication and infection) realated to the nature of the systematic damaging process and limitations of auto- destruction theory (shock, stress, metabolic and SIRS-sepsis) and pargraphs of the clinical medicine have been presented. Special attention is paid to sepsis and diffusion inflammation, which are considered to be the dominant conceptions based on immune dysregulation.
