PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN MIND MAPPING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR BIOLOGI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS XI MIPA 6 SMA NEGERI 1 KUTA UTARA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan strategi pembelajaran Mind Mapping dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Utara pada materi sistem ekskresi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan latar belakang rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi pembelajaran biologi. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil penilaian harian pada kondisi awal (pra siklus) dimana sebanyak 77% peserta didik memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM dengan nilai rata-rata peserta didik berada di angka 61 dan persentase ketuntasan belajar berada di angka 23%. Dengan berlandaskan permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukanlah penelitian penerapan strategi pembelajaran Mind Mapping dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar biologi peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Kuta Utara. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan 2 siklus, dimana setiap siklusnya dilakukan empat tahapan yang terdiri atas (1) perencanaan tindakan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar biologi khususnya pada materi sistem ekskresi dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran Mind Mapping. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui terjadi perubahan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik, dari mulanya 61 menjadi 80, dan akhirnya mencapai 84. Selain itu persentase ketuntasan belajar peserta didik juga meningkat, yang semula 23% pada kondisi awal kemudian meningkat menjadi 64% pada siklus I dan 73% pada siklus II.
