Abstract

Penggunaan krim berbahan aktif herbal sebagai antioksidan semakin meningkat. Salah satu diantaranya adalah krim kombinasi dari ekstrak etanol kulit terong ungu dan kubis ungu. Sayuran yang memiliki antioksidan unggul yaitu terong ungu dan kubis ungu dan kubis ungu. Kandungan kimia nasunin pada terong ungu memiliki aktivitas signifikan pada radikal bebas yang memiliki peran utama pada keadaan seperti inflamasi, penuaan, kanker dan penyakit kardiovaskular. Nasunin adalah antosianin yang terpusat terdapat pada kulit terong ungu. Kubis ungu merupakan varietas kubis yang memiliki antioksidan tertinggi daripada kubis yang lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan dari ketiga formula krim kombinasi dari ekstrak etanol kulit terong ungu dan kubis ungu. Ekstraksi kulit terong ungu dan kubis ungu dilakukan dengan metode maserasi selama 3x24 jam dan dipekatkan dengan evaporator serta diuapkan. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah ekstrak kental kulit terong ungu dan kubis ungu yang berwarna cokelat tua. Pada penelitian ini diracik sediaan krim dari ekstrak etanol kulit terong ungu dan kubis ungu dengan tiga formulasi, dengan penambahan ekstrak etanol kulit terong ungu dan kubis ungu pada masing-masing Formula 1, 2 dan 3 yaitu 1 dan 5, 3 dan 7,5 dan 5 dan 2,5%. Hasil yang diperoleh pada pembuatan krim adalah krim formula 2 memiliki warna cokelat yang paling tua daripada krim formula 1 dan 3. Krim tersebut dianalisis aktivitas antioksidannya dengan metode DPPH. Krim kombinasi dari ekstrak etanol kulit terong ungu dan kubis ungu formula 1, 2 dan 3 masing – masing memiliki IC50 berturut-turut 295,5 ppm, 193 ppm dan 246,9 ppm. Formula 2 memiliki nilai IC50 yang paling kecil daripada Formula 1 dan 3 hal ini berarti formula 2 memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang lebih baik daripada formula 1 dan 3, jadi formula 2 perbandingan konsentrasi ekstraknya lebih baik daripada formula 1 dan 3.
