Este trabalho apresenta um estudo de esterilização de Saccharomyces Cerevisiae pela utilização de radiação micro-ondas de 2 GHz emitidas por uma antena Vivaldi Palm Tree. O objetivo foi desenvolver um método alternativo de inativação de micro organismos por frequências de micro-ondas. Ao comparar a amostra irradiada com a amostra isolada (controle) foi observado que a radiação impediu a reprodução e desenvolvimento da cultura.
