Abstract

Resumo: A presente pesquisa analisou a utilização de metáforas como forma de definição de palavras na música da cantora Rita Lee – Amor e Sexo. O objetivo geral foi refletir sobre o potencial didático da utilização de metáforas comparativas para a definição do conceito de amor e de sexo. Os objetivos específicos pautam-se em: identificar as conexões entre as metáforas utilizadas na música e a realidade; compreender as nuances semânticas utilizadas pela cantora Rita Lee para a conceituação de amor e de sexo. A pesquisa elegeu como aporte teórico os estudos a respeito de referência e sentido (CANÇADO, 2015), como dicotomias próprias para os aspectos de significado das línguas; além dos estudos sobre semântica cognitiva, que dizem respeito à relação entre o símbolo e o mundo, em uma perspectiva natural e experiencial (LAKOFF; JOHNSON, 2002). Para alcançar os objetivos aos quais se propõe e realizar a discussão de metáfora comparativa, a pesquisa configura-se como básica, de abordagem qualitativa, do tipo documental. Os resultados preliminares encontrados depreendem que os significados emergem das nossas ações no mundo e dos movimentos imagéticos.
