Sistem Litar Pencahayaan untuk Mikroskop (SISForM)

Abstract

Mikroskop cahaya adalah alat yang penting dalam amali subjek Biologi. Mikroskop cahaya adalah salah satu jenis mikroskop yang sering digunakan oleh warga pendidik dan pelajar untuk melakukan pemerhatian dan perbesaran objek mikroskopik seperti sel atau tisu pada haiwan dan tumbuhan. Fungsi mikroskop cahaya adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran secara lebih besar dan terperinci untuk objek-objek kecil yang tidak dapat terlihat oleh mata manusia secara langsung. Fungsi mikroskop cahaya ini begitu signifikan pada jenis lampu dan jumlah cahaya yang digunakan semasa proses pemerhatian slaid spesimen. Disebabkan oleh kos yang tinggi untuk menyelenggara litar pencahayaan dan penukaran mentol pada mikroskop sedia ada atau pun memperbaharui mikroskop model yang baru, maka kebanyakan mikroskop yang sedia ada di sekolah atau kolej matrikulasi menjadi kurang berkesan dalam pemerhatian slaid. Ini berlaku kerana mentol yang digunakan mulai malap selepas 5 tahun penggunaan. Selain daripada itu, litar pintas yang berlaku di dalam litar sedia ada juga menyebabkan mentol tidak dapat berfungsi. Justeru itu, kumpulan kami telah mencipta satu litar yang lebih mudah dibina dan diselenggara dengan menggunakan mentol LED. Litar elektronik ini dikenali sebagai SISForM. Antara kebaikan SISForM ini, ianya mampu menggunakan 2 mod penggunaan sumber elektrik iaitu sumber elektrik secara terus di palam ataupun menggunakan bateri 3A. Selain itu, litar ini juga menggunakan kos yang murah iaitu hanya RM18 berbanding RM600 kos penyelenggaraan oleh syarikat swasta. Penggunaan SISForM dalam pengendalian kelas amali terutamanya amali yang melibatkan mikroskop telah banyak memudahkan pelajar dalam pengecaman spesimen, dimana mereka boleh melihat specimen dengan lebih terang dan jelas. Oleh kerana impak yang positif diperolehi daripada penggunaan kit-litar SISforM ini, ia telah di sebarluaskan di sekolah menengah di sekitar Tangkak dan Muar.
