INFLUÊNCIA DAS AVÓS NO ALEITAMENTO MATERNO EXCLUSIVO

Abstract

Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar na literatura científica nacional publicações sobre o papel das avós no aleitamento materno de seus netos. Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa realizada por meio de um levantamento bibliográfico na base de dados LILACS foi utilizado as palavras chave “aleitamento materno” e “idosos”. Foram selecionados nove artigos conforme critérios de inclusão e exclusão. Esses foram lidos e categorizados de acordo com a influência que as avós exercem sobre a amamentação em relação às suas crenças. Após a leitura observou que avós exercem influência sobre a amamentação conforme suas crenças e estas podem facilitar ou dificultar a amamentação. As crenças encontradas foram: produção de leite, leite fraco, tratamento de fissuras, dor na amamentação, a gratidão do ato de amamentar, uso de água ou chá e de outro leite, avó como apoio, morfologia da mama materna (mama grande), certos alimentos têm efeitos potencialmente nocivos durante a gestação e lactação. Sabe-se que as avós é uma importante rede de apoio para puérpera, dessa forma, compreender a influência que estas exercem no processo de amamentação é essencial para que sejam realizadas intervenções mais eficazes junto ao binômio mãe-filho.
