This compilation of codes (ROV-processor.zip) contains mainly MATLAB scripts and functions for processing under-ice environment data collected using the remotely operated vehicle (ROV) "BEAST" owned by the Alfred-Wegener-Institut Helmholtz-Zentrum für Polar- und Meeresforschung (Bremerhaven, Germany). The M500 ROV (Katlein et al., 2017) was manufactured by Ocean Modules AB (Åtvidaberg, Sweden). The codes describe how ROV data collected during the Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) expedition of the research vessel Polarstern (AWI, 2017) in the Arctic Ocean from October 2019 to September 2020 were processed (Nicolaus et al., 2022; Anhaus et al., 2023). The codes further include standard MATLAB functions and parts of the Gibbs SeaWater (GSW) Oceanographic Toolbox of TEOS-10 (McDougall and Barker, 2011) as well as the M_Map mapping package for MATLAB (https://www.eoas.ubc.ca/~rich/map.html) to ensure smooth running of the scripts. A README.txt file for detailed information is included.
