Mallomonas paludosa Fott (Fig. 3D) DISTRIBUTION. — Widely distributed (Kristiansen & Preisig 2007). REMARKS The scales of M. paludosa have a large dome with a prominent hole along the proximal border. The shield has parallel transverse ribs which are aligned with those on the posterior flange (Siver 1991).
