TRACIONAMENTO DE CANINO INCLUSO POR TÉCNICA CONSERVADORA NÃO CIRÚRGICA

Abstract

Os dentes denominados caninos são de suma importância para a estética dental e para a função mastigatória e funcionamento do sistema estomatognático. O canino fica em segundo lugar relacionado a anomalias de dentes inclusos, com uma porcentagem de 1 a 3% dos casos. A literatura aponta fatores gerais e locais que podem ocasionar as impactações. O tracionamento de canino é um procedimento que visa solucionar a posição do dente ajustando-o anatomicamente ao lugar correto na arcada, logo, para a realização do diagnóstico e elaboração do tratamento é indispensável a realização de exames de imagem. Dessa forma, o objetivo desse trabalho é apresentar um caso clínico de tracionamento de canino incluso, alojado por palatina, com a técnica de by-pass (arco elástico segmentado) e cantilever, avaliando o melhor controle da mecânica, consequentemente, devolvendo estética e função, além de proporcionar mais conforto a paciente. Embora o caso clínico ainda se encontre em andamento ortodôntico, podemos concluir que o tracionamento de canino superior através da técnica “by-pass” mostrou-se eficiente, com bom controle da força aplicada, minimizando assim os efeitos colaterais no arco ortodôntico.
