Cây Lan gấm (Anoectochilus sp.) là một thảo dược quí, giá trị kinh tế cao, trong tự nhiên đang bị thu hái một cách triệt để, có nguy cơ tuyệt chủng cao. Nghiên cứu đã khảo sát 6 tuyến điều tra tại 2 xã Đăk Rong và Sơn Lang của huyện Kbang tỉnh Gia Lai, thu thập mẫu trên các tuyến khảo sát để định danh loài bằng phương pháp So sánh hình thái. Kết quả cho thấy, đã định danh được hai loài Lan gấm phân bố trên địa bàn là Anoectochilus roxburghii (Wall.) Lindl. và Anoectochilus lylei Rolfe ex Downie, khác nhau về màu lá và gân lá. Loài Anoectochilus lylei Rolfe ex Downie có lá màu xanh gân trắng, loài Anoectochilus roxburghii (Wall.) Lindl. có màu nâu gân hồng. Kết quả này góp phần xác định phân bố cây Lan gấm; đóng góp vào việc bảo tồn và phát triển cây Lan gấm.
