Abstract

This dataset contains photos of selected documents from the Carl Sagan Collection that are discussed in the paper "Scientific Inquiry and the Stigma of UAP: Lessons from the Carl Sagan Collection," by Jacob Haqq-Misra in the journal Limina. All originals are stored in the Manuscript Division at the Library of Congress. All photos were taken by Jacob Haqq-Misra on October 19, 2019. Contents: Letter from Richard C. Henry responding to Frank J. Tipler’s article "Intelligent extraterrestrial beings do not exist" dated 3 November 1980 [3 pages, box 790, folder 7] Letter from Robert O. Dean (27 years military service) to Carl Sagan dated 3 January 1984 about taking the UFO problem seriously [2 pages, box 791, folder 6] Letter from Stanton T.
