Adult (Fig. 22). Wingspan 15.0‒18.0 mm. Agonopterix ochrocephala can be distinguished by the forewing with a white dot on the outer margin of the cell situated in the center of a dark brown patch, which narrowly extends to the tornus; and by the juxta triangularly projected posterolaterally in the male genitalia (Fig. 44); and by the sub-rhombic signum in the female genitalia (Figs 51, 51a). It can be hardly separable from A. angelicella (Hübner, 1813) in the male genitalia, but can be distinguished by the absence of the pale yellow to yellowish white stripe at base of the forewing, which is present in A. angelicella. Distribution. China (Hebei, Heilongjiang, Jilin), Japan, Russia (Saito 1980; Lvovsky 2006, 2008).
