Abstract

L’interdiction des néonicotinoïdes rend obligatoire la mise en œuvre de stratégies alternatives pour la gestion des pucerons vecteurs des jaunisses de la betterave à sucre. L’installation de bandes fleuries à proximité des cultures pourrait contribuer à une meilleure régulation biologique des pucerons en favorisant leurs ennemis naturels par l’apport de ressources alimentaires (nectar, pollen, proies alternatives, etc.) et d’habitat. L’analyse de 58 études consacrées aux bandes fleuries en grandes cultures confirme leur capacité à augmenter l’abondance des parasitoïdes ou des prédateurs et à réduire les infestations de ravageurs. Un second corpus de 32 articles permet de dresser une première liste, manifestement incomplète, des ennemis naturels des principaux pucerons vecteurs des jaunisses de la betterave. Parmi les facteurs influençant l’efficacité d’une bande fleurie sur le contrôle biologique, la composition spécifique du mélange et les traits floraux des espèces qui le constituent sont déterminants. L’influence des contextes paysager et climatique a été peu abordée jusqu’à présent. Les résultats collectés à partir de la bibliographie semblent indiquer que la composition des bandes fleuries à préconiser en culture de betterave à sucre pourrait différer entre les climats tempéré ou océanique et le climat continental. Des travaux de terrain restent indispensables pour évaluer la pertinence de l’approche bandes fleuries dans le cas de la gestion des jaunisses de la betterave.
