The last letter of Antoni Andrzejowski (1785-1868) – a valuable testimony to the history of "Flora of Ukraine". The article presents a letter from Antoni Andrzejewski to Joseph Decaisne, kept in the collection of the Institut de France in Paris. The letter accompanied the shipment of herbarium and plant seeds from Ukraine. Andrzejowski, critical of Candolle's Prodromus systematis naturalis regni vegetabilis, asks for help in identifying some species. The letter contains a lot of information about the last period of Andrzejowski's life and his work in Stawiszcze. Herbarium specimens sent to Paris were also presented. The letter is a valuable testimony to the history of "Flora of Ukraine", a work that Andrzejowski did not manage to complete. It is also an interesting contribution to the biography of the outstanding naturalist and the history of botany in the nineteenth century.
