This dataset has been used to generate a publication on "Host-related and environmental factors influence long-term ectoparasite infestation dynamics of mouse lemurs in northwestern Madagascar" to be published in the American Journal of Primatology. The study received funding from the Primate Conservation Inc. (research grant PCI# 1299 to A.K.), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD, travel grant no. 57212311 to A.K.), the Gesellschaft für Primatologie (GfP, Christian-Vogel Fond to A.K.), the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (2020/21) to C.M.G. Funding for the 2010-2011 was provided by an NSF Dissertation Improvement Grant (#0961779), a PEO Scholar Award, the Animal Behaviour Society, Lewis and Clark Fund of the American Philosophical Society, German Academic Exchange Service (#A/09/81743), American Society of Primatologists, Sigma Xi (National Chapter, grant #G2009101504), Sigma Xi (Arizona State University chapter), Arizona State University Graduate and Professional Student Association, Arizona State University School of Human Evolution and Social Change, and an Arizona State University Graduate College Dissertation Writing Fellowship to S.E.K.
This Excel-file contains three datasets, corresponding to the initial raw dataset resulting from all ectoparasite inspections (n = 2,241), the merged dataset used for host-related and temporal modeling (n = 1940), and the even more condensed dataset with one datapoint per individual used for climatic modeling (n = 583), respectively.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
