The present database contains data of mean temperature (TEMP), salinity (PSAL) and chlorophyll a (CHLT) collected in the surface (0-2 m) layer at the LTER-MC station in the Gulf of Naples (Tyrrhenian Sea, western Mediterranean) during the 1984-2015 period. For seven observations, the temperature and salinity values recorded at 5 m were reported owing to missing data at 0 and 2 m depths. The methods used for data collection and analysis are reported in Sabia et al. (2019) (https://doi.org/10.12681/mms.15935).

| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
