Abstract

ECOTIP, FACE-IT and CHARTER are three EU-funded projects that are researching biodiversity in relation to ice loss in the Arctic and have coordinated recommendations based on the preliminary results from the projects that are relevant to strategies being developed by the European Union and other international organisations in relation to the climate change and biodiversity crises. More specifically, information that is relevant for the EU's Arctic policy, EU missions and the Green Deal, as well as the work of IPCC and IPBES.

These projects have received funding from the European union's Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme under grant agreements 869383 (EcoTip), 869154 (FACE-IT) and 869471 (CHARTER).
