As physical and mental performance declines with age, older adults need to take a variety of medications for both acute illnesses and long-term disorders. One of the crucial elements relating to senior citizens is the necessity to design appropriate products and medications. The major problem of not taking prescribed medication is addressed by a number of technologies, including electronic medication reminder devices, smart phone reminder programmes, and others. However, not all senior citizens are able to utilise a smartphone. This suggests a system that will assist not only elderly persons who need prescription reminders, but also people who have Alzheimer's disease. In this system, the user will be assisted in managing complex drug regimens by a combination of buzzer alert with GSM. Patients who don’t remember their medicine dosage timings as they can set an alarm on their medicine dosage timings. The alarm can be used to set multiple medicines including time and medicine description.
