Abstract

Hz. Peygamber, zorlu bir hicret yolculuğunun ardından Medine’nin en büyük yerleşim yerlerinden biri olan Kubâ’ya vardı ve burada birkaç gün kaldıktan sonra şehir merkezine intikal etti. Böylece nispeten verimli arazileri, su kuyuları ve Medine merkezine yakınlığı ile bilinen Kubâ hicretin varış noktası oldu. Hz. Peygamber burada kaldığı sayılı günlerde Kubâ halkı ile ilgilendi ve ayrıca bir mescit inşası için gerekli çalışmaları başlattı. Medine merkezine yerleştikten sonra da haftanın belirli günleri Kubâ’yı düzenli olarak ziyaret etmeye ve halkıyla yakından ilgilenmeye devam etti. Bu ziyaretlerinde ve Kubâ halkıyla ilişkilerinde merkezi bir rol oynayan Kubâ Mescidi’nin inşasında bizzat yer aldı. Sonraki yıllarda yapılan mescit çalışmalarını da takip etti. Burada görevlendirdiği imam ve müezzinler vasıtasıyla da irtibatı sürdürmeye devam etti. Kubâ halkı da talep ve şikayetlerini Resûlullah’a kolaylıkla iletme imkânına sahipti. Zira Hz. Peygamber’in düzenli olarak onları ziyaret etmesinin yanı sıra aradaki mesafenin yakınlığı nedeniyle Kubâ ahalisi de Medine’ye kolayca gelebilmekteydi. Nitekim en azından haftada bir kez cuma namazı için Medine’ye gelmeleri emredilmişti. Bunlara ek olarak yaşanan bazı problemler üzerine Hz. Peygamber’in en kısa sürede Kubâ’ya intikal ettiği ve bizzat ilgilenerek meseleleri çözdüğü de olmaktaydı. Hz. Peygamber’in Kubâ ile ilişkilerini müstakil olarak ele alan bu makale bilhassa Kubâ tarihi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Buna ek olarak araştırmanın Medine döneminin daha iyi anlaşılmasına katkı sunması amaçlanmaktadır.
