"Werktitel als Wissensraum" – über die Potentiale von Werknormdaten für die Digitalen Geisteswissenschaften

Abstract

Seit März 2020 erfassen das Deutsche Literaturarchiv Marbach und die Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek im Kooperationsprojekt »Werktitel als Wissensraum« über 4.500 Werke der deutschen Literatur in strukturierter Form als Normdaten. Weimar erschließt Werktitel von 1700 bis 1914, Marbach von 1915 bis 2015. Für die Literaturwerke werden außerdem in Beziehung stehende Werke recherchiert und erfasst. Damit wird der Wissensraum der Gemeinsamen Normdatei (GND) und von Wikidata um bibliografische und wissenschaftliche Informationen zu Literaturwerken, ihren Kontexten und Beziehungen erweitert. In der Verwendung von Normdaten für Werke liegt die Chance, Bestände materialübergreifend zu vernetzen: Objekte, Manuskripte, Bücher, Bilder, Vertonungen, Bühnenbearbeitungen, Kunstwerke, Filme, Installationen und Spiele. Werktitel sind damit Indikatoren eines virtuellen Wissensraums und Spiegelbild einer verzweigten literarischen Gedächtniskultur. Sie bieten vielfältige Nachnutzungs- und Vernetzungsmöglichkeiten für die Digital Humanities und bilden die Grundlage für fachübergreifende Forschungsprojekte. Ein Beitrag zur 9. Tagung des Verbands "Digital Humanities im deutschsprachigen Raum" - DHd 2023 Open Humanities Open Culture.
