Stegana (Steganina) liusanjieae Li & Chen, sp. nov.

Abstract

Stegana (Steganina) liusanjieae Li & Chen, sp. nov. (Figs. 10I, 10J, 48) Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. (S.) hirticeps Wang, Gao, & Chen, 2013 in the shape of male terminalia (as fig. 5 in Wang et al. 2013, Fig. 48A–F), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the oval cercus (Fig. 48A); the aedeagus with numerous minute, serrated processes laterally (Fig. 48B, C). Description. Male and female: First flagellomere yellow. Clypeus yellow. Mesonotum slightly brownish medially, yellow laterally (Fig. 10I). Katepisternum yellowish (Fig. 10J). Scutellum brownish (Fig. 10I). Halter mostly white (Fig. 10J). Fore femur with a row of 3 long setae on distal part of posteroventral surface. Abdominal tergites mostly yellow (Fig. 10I, J); sternites yellow, about 1.6 times as wide as long. Male terminalia (Fig. 48A–F): Epandrium with ca. 15 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side (Fig. 48A). Surstylus lacking peg-like tooth and pubescence, with some minute, serrated processes distally and setulae near distal margin (Fig. 48A). Cercus lacking pubescence (Fig. 48A). Hypandrium roundly expanded anteromedially (Fig. 48B, C). Pregonite small, with 2 sensilla (Fig. 48B, C). Aedeagus with much pubescence distally (Fig. 48B, C). Aedeagal sheath distally dorsad curved and with some minute, serrated processes (Fig. 48D, E). Subepandrial sclerite vaulted (Fig. 48F). Female terminalia (Fig. 48G–I): Epiproct with some setae on distal 1/2 (Fig. 48G). Cercus and hypoproct with numerous setae and much pubescence (Fig. 48G, I). Eight sternite slightly longer than wide, glabrous on basal 3/4, with some setae and much pubescence on distal 1/4 (Fig. 48H). Measurements and indices. BL = 2.88 mm in holotype, ThL = 1.59 mm, WL = 3.01 mm, WW = 1.17 mm, arb = 6/4, avd = 0.95, adf = 1.05, flw = 2.85, FW/HW = 0.35, ch/o = 0.27, prorb = 1.13, rcorb = 0.66, vb = 0.65, dcl = 0.56, presctl = 0.51, sctl = 1.78, sterno = 1.20, orbito = 1.65, dcp = 0.30, sctlp = 1.79, C = 1.74, 4c = 1.32, 4v = 1.97, 5x = 1.42, ac = 10.08, M = 0.55, C3F = 0.64. Type materials. Holotype ♂ (SCAU, No. 125669, DNA #1951), CHINA: Jiuwanshan, Huanjiang, Guangxi, 25°18'48''N, 108°38'02''E, alt. 1500m, 14.ix.2015, ex tree trunk, Y.Q. Liu. Paratypes: 1♀ (SCAU, No. 125670), other data same as holotype. Distribution. China (Guangxi). Etymology.
