This toolkit provides a guide for how funders can develop and implement a preprint policy. The toolkit starts with an overview of the benefits of preprints for science communication and the current support for preprint use by different stakeholders, and then outlines steps that funders can take to initiate a policy review and implement a preprint policy. The toolkit also includes a policy template for funders seeking to incorporate preprints into their policies. This resource is the result of a collaboration by a group of ASAPbio Community members.
