Abstract

Resumen Esta investigación tuvo como objeto de estudio el determinar la percepción de riesgo hacia las benzodiacepinas en los adultos de la ciudad de Maracaibo, así como también identificar el nivel de percepción de riesgo en cada una de las dimensiones de la variable a estudiar, entre las cuales se encuentra la dimensión salud, personal, social y legal. Dicha investigación fue de tipo y nivel descriptivo, realizado bajo los lineamientos de un diseño no experimental transeccional descriptiva. Se realizó un muestreo de tipo accidental en la población adulta en la ciudad de Maracaibo, donde se eligió una muestra de 169 adultos de ambos géneros. Se elaboró un instrumento para medir percepción de riesgo PRCB, la cual utiliza las dimensiones mencionadas anteriormente, en una escala tipo Likert y consta de un Alfa de Cronbach de 0,920. Los resultados que se obtuvieron en esta población adulta fueron de una percepción de riesgo alta.
