The Africa PID Alliance is a product of collaboration and identification of a need to drive innovation in open research landscape in Africa. One of the primary missions of the APA (Africa PID Alliance), and part of its mission is to facilitate the registration of Indigenous Knowledge content, continuously gather feedback from the community and find solutions transform this cultural knowledge and heritage into accessible and FAIR content. Helix Analytics Ltd is and Training Center in communication (TCC Africa) will be running a series of outreaches to extend the APA coverage, as we aim to include all the African regions and countries from North to South and from East to West. With that in place, the APA is very much keen to explore international collaborations and partnerships with the global community of PIDs enthusiasts to share and exchange knowledge around building an reliable open research infrastructure in and from Africa, and connected to global networks and registries of PIDs.
