
This review presents the current knowledge on relational enrichment in ruminants and equines. The specific animal needs for these enrichments are summarised and the enrichments investigated in the scientific literature and their impact on welfare are presented. Finally, gaps in knowledge are identified and recommendations for inspection are provided.
