Abstract

22. Ivodea nana Capuron (Fig. 10) Adansonia, sér. 2, 7 (4): 496 (1967). — Lectotype (désigné ici): Madagascar, Prov. Toamasina, Antanambe, au S de Mananara, sur latérite, [16°26’00”S, 49°50’30”E], 10.XI.1964, fl. ♀, fr., Service Forestier 23757 (P [P00418142]!; iso-, P [P00418143; carpothèque: P00853184]!, TAN!, TEF [TEF000453]!). AUTRE MATÉRIEL EXAMINÉ. — Madagascar. Prov. Toamasina, Antanambe, au S de Mananara, sur latérite, [16°26’00”S, 49°50’30”E], 10.XI.1964, fl. ♂, Service Forestier 23756 (G, NY, P, TAN, TEF). RÉPARTITION ET ÉCOLOGIE Ivodea nana n’est connue que d’une seule localité, dans les sous-bois des forêts sublittorales sur latérite, d’Antanambe, Mananara-Nord. Les deux récoltes faites par Capuron en 1964 dans cette localité sont les seules connues de cette espèce. PHÉNOLOGIE Floraison: octobre à novembre; fructification: novembre à décembre. NOTES Ivodea nana est morphologiquement similaire à I. confertifolia et I. mahanarica par ses grandes feuilles oblancéolées ou obovales groupées en bouquets denses dans la partie distale des branches, à base aiguë ou atténuée en coin, mais en diffère par l’absence totale d’indument. De plus, elle se distingue d’ I. confertifolia par ses pétioles de 0,5-2(2,5) cm de long nettement plus robustes de (1) 2-4 mm de diamètre (vs pétioles (1,5) 2-4 cm de long et moins robustes de 1-2 mm de diamètre) et d’ I. mahanarica par ses pétioles non ailés (vs pétioles ailés). Elle possède aussi des infrutescences plus longues de 7-14 cm de long (vs plus courtes de 3-7 cm de long chez I. confertifolia et I. mahanarica). Parmi les deux parts de Service Forestier 23757 dans l’herbier de Paris, nous avons choisi comme lectotype celle qui porte des fruits mûrs et qui avait manifestement servi pour l’illustration figurant dans le protologue. STATUT DE CONSERVATION Ivodea nana n’est connue que d’une seule localité dans une aire protégée (Mananara-Nord) qui, malgré son statut, subit néanmoins des pressions anthropiques (tavy et coupe illicite). Avec une zone d’occupation de 10 km ², l’espèce est provisoirement classée comme« Vulnérable » (VU D2) conformément aux critères pour la Liste Rouge de l’UICN (2012).
