This study aims to analyze public policy from the international scientific production. To do so, we applied the bibliographic method of the Web of Science (WoS) database, considering scientific articles that used the term public policy in the period 2017-2021. The criterion of recentness was chosen to verify possible renovations related to the object of study in contemporary times. The first part of the analysis considered the number of articles published per year, the main authors, publications by research areas, and the countries of the journals of the published articles. The second part used the free software VOSviewer to compare and cross- reference data by authors and keywords related to public policies in the analyzed period. Reflections, notes and implications for Brazilian studies on the theme were presented as a potential starting point for future research and actions, including management, in the field of public policy.
