The following paper wants to study the effect of sharpening the trailing edge of the new epoxy ILCA centerboard plunged in a water stream. The common experience always suggested that an open trailing edge would bring higher drag, especially when planing, resulting in a peculiar whistle. The goal is to shed the first light on the objective benefit of this practice.
