Adicción a las redes sociales en adolescentes

Abstract

Resumen Con la finalidad de determinar el nivel de adicción a las redes sociales en adolescentes, se realizó una investigación de tipo y nivel descriptivo, con modelo de campo y diseño no experimental, transeccional descriptivo. Se realizó un muestreo no probabilístico intencional, que arrojó una muestra de 85 hembras y 38 varones (N=123), a quienes se aplicó el Cuestionario de Adicción a las Redes Sociales (ARS) creado por Escurra y Salas (2014). Los resultados arrojaron una obsesión moderada, con altos niveles de falta de control, uso excesivo y adicción a las redes sociales. Se encontró que los varones tenían una mayor obsesión por las redes que las hembras. Quienes poseen una mayor cantidad de redes sociales arrojaron mayores niveles de obsesión, uso obsesivo y adicción. Aquellos que pasan conectados más de cinco horas al día tuvieron mayores niveles de adicción y sus tres dimensiones. El tipo de acceso no presentó diferencias significativas.
