Abstract

Nederlands: Op 24 januari en 9 februari 2023 gaf Olaf Janssen een basiscursus over Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata en GLAM-Wiki voor (nieuwe) medewerkers van de Koninklijke Bibliotheek. Dit was de eerste interne cursus na de coronaperiode, er zijn sinds 2020 tientallen nieuwe KB-medewerkers in dienst getreden. Tijdens deze cursussen kwam o.a. aan bod: Waarom is Wikipedia relevant voor bibliotheken? Wat is Wikipedia, Wikimedia, Wikimedia Commons? Hoe werkt Wikipedia, en de gemeenschap erachter? Iets over Wikidata Samenwerking tussen erfgoedinstellingen en Wikipedia (GLAM-wiki) De cursusleider was OlafJanssen, Wikimedia- en open data Coördinator bij de KB. English: On January 24 and February 9, 2023, Olaf Janssen gave an introduction course about Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons, Wikidata and GLAM-Wiki for (new) employees of the KB, national library of the Netherlands. This was the first internal course after the corona period, dozens of new KB employees have joined since 2020. These courses included: Why is Wikipedia relevant to libraries? What is Wikipedia, Wikimedia, Wikimedia Commons? How does Wikipedia work, and the community behind it? Something about Wikidata Collaboration between heritage institutions and Wikipedia (GLAM-wiki) The course leader was OlafJanssen, Wikimedia and Open Data Coordinator at the KB.
