TATARSTAN IN THE 1990S PART I (1990 – 1993)

Abstract

The article analyzes the main aspects of the political life of Tatarstan in the early 1990s. During this period, a new, post-Soviet political system was emerging in the republic. This process was also noted in other regions of the Russian Federation. But, as shown in the article, in Tatarstan it had a certain specificity due to the multinational composition of the population and a number of other features peculiar to the republic.
