BIM (Building Information Modeling) is gaining traction in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. BIM refers to the process of creating and using computer-generated n-dimensional (n-D) models to simulate planning, design, construction, and operation. It assists builders, engineers, and architects in imagining what they will construct in a simulated setting and identifying potential issues with design, construction, or operation. Change is a part of all projects, whether it is requested by the client or the contractor, or it is part of the design demand, etc. Any addition, deletion, or modification to the scope of a project that causes delays and adds additional costs to the project is defined as a change. The need to manage change is required so that change management follows proper processes to deal with changes that have the least impact on the project, saving time and money. It is also stated that the earlier the change is identified, the better for the project to stay on track, reduce risk, and save money. Many aspects of traditional change management must be addressed in order to improve change management. Understanding the change, its cause, and how important the change is, as well as whether it is necessary to do change, is required for proper change management.
