Damage Proxy Map from COSMO-SkyMed Imagery

Abstract

This summary report describes a preliminary remote sensing analysis of damage occurred over the cities of Gaziantep and Kahramanmaras, strongly affected by two seismic events on 6 february 2023, in Turkey. Four COSMO-SkyMed Second Generation (CSG) images have been used to derive a damage proxy map based on a change detection method applied to SAR intensity data.
