CISSAMPELOS SYMPODIALIS: UMA ESTRATÉGIA FITOTERAPICA CONTRA ASMA

Abstract

Na investigação de plantas medicinais com potencial terapêutica e busca de candidato a fármaco, destaca-se a Cissampelos sympodialis, conhecida popularmente como Milona, e seus constituintes químicos. Da família Menispermaceae, é uma trepadeira nativa e endêmica do Brasil. Com o intuito de investigar seu potencial terapêutico, este trabalho visa identificar as propriedades farmacológicas da espécie Cissampelos sympodialis Eichl relacionados a asma. Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados eletrônicas LILACS, PubMed e Science Direct, por meio das seguintes palavras-chaves “Cissampelos sympodialis” e “asthma”. Foram incluídos artigos completos, disponíveis em português de inglês, publicados entre janeiro de 2018 e novembro de 2022. A amostra final foi composta por artigos publicados entre 2018 e 2022. Nas pesquisas verifica-se que quatro estudos analisaram as folhas da milona e esteve envolvida em ensaios que revelaram uma potencial ação da folha da milona no combate da rinite alérgica, alguns alcaloides diminuíram células inflamatórias nas regiões subepiteliais e perivasculares do tecido nasal apresentando atividades antialérgicas, anti-inflamatória, antiasmática e analgésica. Por fim, as vantagens farmacológicas na utilização da milona, são notáveis e referem-se a essa planta como promissora para desenvolvimento de fitoterápicos, com propriedades benéficas à saúde, tendo efeitos terapêuticos comprovados. Porém, é necessária a realização de mais estudos sobre o tema, especialmente pesquisas de campos, para construir dados robustos, do ponto de vista clínico, a respeito dessa planta.
