The code and data which accompany a publication on global lake water level anomalies for the year 2022. The water level data for this study were obtained from the NASA/CNES Topex/Poseidon and Jason satellite missions through the Global Reservoir and Lake Monitoring (G-REALM; https://ipad.fas.usda.gov/cropexplorer/global_reservoir/) project version 2.5 (Birkett et al 2022, Birkett and Beckley 2010) and Theia's Hydroweb database (downloaded 16 January 2022; https://hydroweb.theia-land.fr/) (Crétaux et al 2011). The code published here are meant as a documented record of work.
