Sofia, 10.12.2019 S., 2019, pp. 444-454, ISSN 2367-7899 This report presents some of the basic principles of the UNESCO World Memory Program as well as the World Register of Written Monuments. Emphasis is placed on the nature of the program with regard to the conservation of the written and archival heritage of different peoples, as well as the Bulgarian contribution to its implementation nationally and internationally. The development draws on UNESCO's core documents defining the development and implementation of the program, as well as various studies in this field.
