REMOÇÃO DE FLÚOR E FÓSFORO NO TRATAMENTO DE EFLUENTES

Abstract

Uma indústria de fertilizantes que produz o Superfosfato Simples, conhecido também como SSP, gera efluentes brutos com altas concentrações de flúor e fósforo durante o seu processo de fabricação, assim impossibilitando o seu descarte direto no corpo hídrico devido ao alto grau de impacto ambiental. Para o descarte adequado é necessário de uma estação de tratamento, a ETEL, cujo objetivo é efetuar o devido tratamento de efluentes e realizar seu descarte apropriadamente, seguindo a legislação da CETESB. Porém, o sistema convencional de tratamento, que é baseado na coagulação, floculação e sedimentação, se mostra ineficiente, uma vez que as concentrações dos elementos flúor e fósforo permanecem altas. Este trabalho tem como base investigar um método para a remoção de flúor e fósforo nos efluentes industriais de forma efetiva. A proposta foi avaliar o processo de coagulação utilizando diferentes concentrações de coagulante e polímero, realizando análises em jar-test para determinar qual seria a melhor opção para uso final. A opção mais eficiente foi alcançada com a dosagem de 700 mg/L, apresentando uma concentração de 2,6 ppm de Flúor e 0,02 ppm de Fósforo, estando dentro das especificações exigidas pela legislação ambiental.
