This dataset represents a fraction of the NFFA-EUROPE - SEM Dataset*. It has been created from the original file Biological.tar (https://b2share.eudat.eu/api/files/5fc88ad5-2f13-483c-8b80-a5862c91dbbb/Biological.tar) and contains half of the images from this original file folder with a different image format (i.e. PNG). This data curation has been carried out in the frame of a work, where this data and the original data are represented as FAIR Digital Objects (https://doi.org/10.3897/rio.8.e94113). This required another set of SEM data to be stored in a different location to the original. Therefore, we have extracted and converted parts of the original file and saved them in a new folder with a different name (i.e. Neurobiology) that also describes the image content and acts as a label. * Aversa, R., Modarres, M.
