Abstract

La investigación tiene el propósito de analizar la relación entre la calidad del agua y el desarrollo sostenible en el departamento del Cesar, Colombia. En los últimos cinco años el carácter hídrico que abastece a los municipios varía considerablemente; en muchos lugares se presentan niveles que inciden negativamente en la salud pública. Al considerar el correcto acceso al elemento sustento de los derechos humanos, al servir como basamento de las relaciones dignas, se impulsan las debidas gestiones en favor de la pertinente distribución. Solicita debida disposición ética como competencia colectiva que habilita la mesura y corresponsabilidad como competencia solidaria. Considera el cuidado del agua como gestión responsable para expresar los derechos individuales, colectivos y ecológicos, en virtud de organizar sociedades equitativas y justas. Resalta que a pesar que el promedio del Índice de Riesgo de la Calidad del Agua (IRCA) muestra registros bajos, existen localidades que recientemente mantienen un IRCA alto; haciendo el agua no es apta para el consumo humano; debido principalmente a factores como: deterioro de los acueductos y la incorrecta cloración. Para el estudio se consideran los datos mensuales reportados por las autoridades sanitarias del país, registrados en el SIVICAP del Instituto Nacional de Salud desde el año 2018 hasta mayo del 2022, examinando las causas que provocan que algunos sectores no cuenten con el suministro oportuno, actividades cotidianas y producción. Se recomienda la organización de mesas de trabajo donde confluyan la administración pública, con técnicos, directivos municipales y privados, junto a las comunidades, con el fin de coordinar las mejores acciones en beneficio del bienestar común.
