Ushbu maqolada kaliyli minerallar haqida yozilgan. Kianit (Kainit) alyuminiy silikatlariga taalluqlidir. Qadimgi yunon tilidan tarjima qilingan "cainite" "yangi" yoki "ko'k" deb tarjima qilingan.Birinchi marta geolog Avraam Gatlom Verneru tomonidan 1789 yilda aniqlangan. Ammo kashfiyot yili 1865 yil. Kainit bir nechta nomga ega. Ilgari u "Baus" yoki "Distin" deb ham atalgan. Birinchi nom savdogar Jeremi Baus sharafiga, ikkinchisi tarjimada "ikki kuch" degan ma'noni anglatadi. Tosh Yevropa va Rossiyaga XVI asrda Hindistondan kelgan. Uni safir deb sotib olishadi, u ancha qimmat edi.
