Technological changes are increasingly rapidly in various fields, including digital technology which is a revolution from analog and electronic technology. This decade has completely metamorphosed into digital, including finally emerging digital money, namely cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency as a form of digital money that operates with the help of a technique called cryptography. Cryptography itself is a process that translates all readable information into a code that cannot be broken at all. Cryptocurrency uses the blockchain as the main ledger, all systems of which are managed by so-called miners. Cryptocurrency has a slightly complicated system that is not easy to understand, so knowledge of cryptocurrencies does not have to be learned, understood so that implementation does not incur any detrimental losses. Types of cryptocurrencies, as well as their advantages and disadvantages, will be briefly discussed in this article.
