The theme addressed in this edition of BioDiv is the changing biodiversity, which has changed and will change in many contexts in which we live our daily lives, in relation to the introduction of invasive species and the loss of habitat. Even considering the great diversity of the environments studied, the need to increase knowledge is common to all, in order to measure the effects of these changes on the native species, and to develop and implement techniques and strategies to preserve natural environments and conserve the species that live there in a wide-ranging and sustainable development context.
