Work supported by the NERC funded consortium, 'Mantle Volatiles: Processes, Reservoirs and Fluxes' (grant number NE/M000397/1), the NERC large grant 'Mantle Circulation Constrained (MC2): A multi-disciplinary 4D Earth framework for understanding mantle upwellings' (grant number NE/T012633/1) and the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Cardiff University. Numerical calculations using the mantle convection code TERRA were undertaken at (i) ARCHER2, the UK national high performance supercomputer, and (ii) HAWK, part of Supercomputing Wales, the national high performance supercomputing system for Wales. Visualisations produced using Paraview (Ayachit, 2015).
Supplementary video files for manuscript "The Stability of Dense Oceanic Crust Near the Core-Mantle Boundary". Contains movies for simulations, B0.00, B0.22, B0.33, B0.44, B0.55, B0.66, B0.77, B0.88 showing the temporal evolution of the temperature anomaly and bulk composition fields for a view of the 3D mantle domain with a segment removed.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
