Bu çalışmanın amacı, akademik doyumun mesleğe yönelik tutum üzerine olan etkisinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın evrenini Akdeniz bölgesindeki devlet üniversitelerin bünyesindeki spor bilimleri fakülteleri ve beden eğitimi ve spor yüksekokullarının beden eğitimi ve spor bölümlerinde öğrenim gören aday öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem grubunu ise bu evren içerisinden rastgele seçilen 197 kişi oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen kişisel bilgi formu ile akademik doyum ve mesleğe yönelik tutum ölçekleri kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizi bilgisayar ortamında IBM SPSS 22.0 (Statistics for Windows Version) adlı paket program kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni adaylarının ölçeklerden aldıkları puanların aritmetik ortalama ve standart sapma x±sd olarak sunulmuştur. Ölçeklerden elde edilen puanların arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koyabilmek için Pearson momentler çarpımı korelasyon analizi (r) uygulanmıştır. Etki değerlerine bakmak için ise basit doğrusal regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni adaylarının akademik doyum ve mesleğe yönelik tutum düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, aday öğretmenlerin akademik doyum ve mesleğe yönelik tutum puanları arasında orta düzeyde pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişki tespit edilirken, oluşturulan modelin ise yordadığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu durumun beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmen adaylarının eğitim öğretim yıllarında alınan eğitimin kalitesinden ve mesleklerini severek yapmalarından kaynaklandığı düşünülmektedir.
